This is a Federal Work Study employment program that requires the applicant who is applying for this position to be either applying or receiving Federal Financial Aid and is a currently enrolled National University student in good academic standing. No other applications will be accepted.
National University is seeking five (5) student Community Service Youth Leaders provide support and leadership to youth in the before & after school program setting, which are located throughout San Diego County and consist of K-5, K-8, Middle School programs. Under the supervision of a Site Supervisor, Youth Leaders collaborate with fellow team members to create and facilitate academic and enrichment activities for youth between the ages of 4 – 18 years of age. This role requires excellent communication, creativity, patience and many other professional, transferable skillsets that will help with upward mobility within the Y or anywhere else you want to go. This role is ideal for someone wanting to break into the Child & Youth Development field or someone who just wants to make a difference in the lives of youth.
Specific schedules are determined by the specific school location, however, the approximate schedule is Monday – Friday, 1:30pm – 6:00pm, One day per week follows the Minimum day schedule which runs from 12:30 – 6:00pm. No nights or weekends.
