Ambassador, Sanford Harmony Education Program

This position is a remote position that involves travel. We have current target locations in Chicago, IL,  and AR/KY/TN and VA/DC/MD regions.

The Ambassador for the Sanford Education Programs is responsible for the external outreach efforts and professional development and support of participating teachers for Sanford Harmony and Sanford Inspire programs.

The Sanford Education Programs, developed by Arizona State University and made possible by a generous gift from T. Denny Sanford, include Sanford Harmony and Sanford Inspire. The Sanford Harmony program is designed to make a positive difference in how Pre-K through 6th grade boys and girls think about and treat each other, therefore improving gender relations throughout their lives.

The Sanford Ambassador is responsible for proactively developing, growing, and retaining strategic, long term partnerships with new and existing corporate clients within an assigned geography or industry vertical (focus is on clients that offer tuition assistance to their employees). This individual will be responsible for working with and building relationships with select group of clients and prospective clients to ensure clients are dealt with professionally, effectively, with team members to reach and maintain revenue goals and at the same time promote the SEC/NU System mission, vision and values to the company and to its employees.

Responsibilities:

  • The Ambassador will develop strategic relationships with Pre-K superintendents, principals and teachers to encourage their adoption of the program. The ambassador will establish strategic partnerships with Pre-K organizations, national teachers’ organizations, school districts, charter schools and educational foundations to promote Sanford Harmony.
  • Strong relationship management. Relationship management includes quality interface with all current and potential points of contact across the schools involved in the Sanford Programs. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with all stakeholders is critical to ensuring the highest level of service.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • The Ambassador must have an advanced degree (master’s degree minimum).
  • Must have a teaching credential. 
  • Preschool licensure is preferred.
  • Five to seven (5-7) years of experience promoting and implementing educational programs.
  • Applicants must provide evidence of experience in planning and implementing school-based professional development.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing relationships with education leaders from Pre-K-12 and higher education.
  • Evidence of experience in planning and implementing school-based professional development.
  • Proven track record of successful of achievement of assigned goals.
  • Experience with public speaking is desirable.
